I stepped out of my comfort zone…to do Martial Arts full-time

After working in the computer industry for 15 years I was pretty competent but unfulfilled. It was my third choice of career, and I was good at it, but it wasn’t my passion. As a matter of fact, I didn’t even know what my passion was! I just knew that there must be more to life than getting in my car every morning, driving to work so that I can earn money to keep my car on the road to go to work.

I’ve always loved martial arts but didn’t necessarily want to go to China or Japan to go and do it, so when I discovered a full-time training centre three and a half hours drive away from me, I set out to discover what they were about. Transported to another world – the circus is alive and magnificent!

My sincere gratitude to the Creator for making possible the magnificence and beauty of human expression in the form of Cirque du Soleil!
I’ve wanted to watch ‘Worlds Away’ ever since I found out a movie was made base on Cique du Soleil and was grateful that this doorway to the modern extravaganza of the circus was finally a reality.

I love the world of the circus and was very sad when they started to disappear because they cannot possibly compete with the onslaught of other media entertainment in our modern era. But the creators of Cirque du Soleil have given us that magic back again and oh, the dramatic canvas they’ve created is sheer magnificence!
The celebration of light, music and the human form in movement is sheer visual pleasure! The beauty of it all touches the heart and sings to the heavens!
I’m not particularly fond of the dark, gothic overtones of the Cirque du Soleil’s shows in general, but their drama, sheer scope and the awesome creativity of it all blows the mind and makes up for it.

Thank you Universe!
